About the Dirty Dozen

The Dirty Dozen ranks the 12 South Florida restaurants with the most high priority health violations in the current inspection period. High priority violations represent the most serious food safety risks — issues that could directly cause foodborne illness including improper food temperatures, pest infestations, bare hand contact with food, and lack of proper handwashing.

Restaurants marked as Repeat Offenders have appeared multiple times in our inspection records with high violation counts — indicating a pattern of non-compliance rather than a one-time issue. Data is sourced directly from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and covers Palm Beach and Broward County restaurants.
